In May 2012: the trade show runs May 8-10, 2012 and the accompanying conference from May 7-9, 2012.Top

Tuesday + Wednesday, May 8+9, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PMTop

4. Is American Coatings SHOW an annual show?
No, it is held biannual, alternating with the big sister European Coatings SHOW, which is also held biannual and took place in 2009 and will take place again in 2011.Top

6. Who is the American Coatings Association (formerly NPCA|FSCT)?
The America Coatings Association is a voluntary, nonprofit organization working to advance the needs of the paint and coatings industry and the professionals who work in it. Through advocacy of the industry and its positions on legislative, regulatory, and judicial issues at the federal, state and local levels, it acts as an effective ally ensuring that the industry is represented and fairly considered. The association also devotes itself to advancing industry efforts with regard to product stewardship through its signature Coating Care® resources, and focuses on advancements in science and technology through its technical conferences and journals, as well as online training opportunities. In addition, the Association offers essential business information to members through its publications, surveys, and business programs. 8. How do I register for the conference?
We have an online registration system. You can register online, by e-mail or fax. It remains open until April 9, 2010. After that date, attendees are asked to register on-site in Charlotte. Please note that on-site registration carries an additional fee of 10% to cover processing costs.Top

9. Can I register for the conference by telephone?
No, registrations must be in writing.Top

10. What are the registration fees?
The registration fees vary depending on day(s) and packages booked. Discounts are offered for NPCA|FSCT members, exhibitors of the ACS 2010 as well University members. Please check registration and the program brochure for details.Top

11. What is included in my registration fee?
Registration fees include a permanent exhibition ticket, all sessions in every track, coffee breaks and lunch of the day(s) booked as well as conference materials on CD. Tickets for Monday include the Plenary Session and After Work Party in addition. Tickets for Wednesday do not include lunch. Pre-Conference Tutorials are not included and have to be booked separately! Please also check registration and the program brochure for more details.Top

12. As a conference attendee, do I have to buy an exhibition ticket to visit the SHOW?
No, your conference badge is also a permanent exhibition ticket and gives you access to the American Coatings Show on all three days.Top

13. Will I receive a confirmation?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation of participation by email. Do I have to make my own hotel reservation? Yes, hotel accommodation is not included in the conference fee and has to be made separately. Please check accommodation for more details.Top

14. Is there a shuttle bus service?
Shuttle service will be provided on different routes on all days of the event between the convention hotels and the convention center. The routes will be published in due time before the event starts.Top

15. Can I attend only one day of the three day meeting?
Yes, every conference day can also be booked individually.Top

16. Are there discounts on multiple registrations?
No, we do not offer discounts for groups.Top

17. How do I know if my registration submitted on-line was reveived?
You will receive a confirmation of registration by email instantly.Top

18. Will I receive a receipt for my credit card charge?
The confirmation sent to you by EPIC serves as confirmation and a receipt as it specifies the date, method and amount of payment made.Top

19. I need to submit a purchase order for my registration costs. Can I still register online?
Yes. Simply enter the PO number.Top

20. What is the Conference Cancellation Refund Policy?
Cancellation deadline is March 29, 2010. All cancellations must be received in writing by March 29, 2010, to receive a refund minus $ 100,- processing fee. Cancellations received after March 29, 2010 will not be refunded. Name changes instead of cancellations are welcome at any time and are free of charge.Top

21. Do I have to register in advance or can I register on-site?
We strongly discourage "walking in" as you will not be guaranteed materials or seating. It is best to register in advance. Besides, on-site registration carries an additional fee of 10% to cover processing costs.Top

22. When does the American Coatings CONFERENCE open?
Check in at the registration desk on Monday, April 12, as early as 8 am. The conference opening begins promptly at 12:15 pm.Top

23. How will I get my badge?
Badges will not be mailed prior to the conference. Badge pick-up will be on-site on April 12 and 13 from 8 am to 5 pm and April 15 from 8 am to 2 pm. Please note that no re-prints are made for lost badges.Top

24. Will the conference materials provided at the conference be posted on the website?
Materials provided at the conference will not be on the website. However, presentations not available at the conference will be posted on our website for attendees who will have been provided the password for access.Top

25. Are there options for my dietary needs?
The conference includes buffet style meals, with a variety of foods which offer something for everyone. For very strict or exceptional requirements, please contact the conference organizers.Top

26. What is the conference dress attire?
The conference is business attire or business casual.Top

The conference program has already been finalized, the deadline for the call for papers was in September 2009. To become a presenter at the ACC 2012, check our website for the call for papers in spring/summer 2011.Top

30. Where can I find the conference schedule and session descriptions?
Conference schedule and session descriptions can be found online as well as in the program brochure.Top

31. Do I need to sign up for conference sessions ahead of time?
If you already know which session(s) you are going to attend, please let us know with your registration as this helps us plan room capacities/seating. However, your specification is not binding.Top

32. What if I want to attend more than one session in a given time period?
Your registration fee includes conferene material on CD. If you miss a presentation, you can review the full technical paper corresponding to the presentation on CD later on. Better yet: bring a colleague, have him attend the parallel session and compare notes.Top

33. I am an attendee coming from overseas, how do I register for the conference while awaiting my visa status to travel?
We encourage you to register for the conference now and then apply for your visa. If you are unable to obtain a visa, you will receive a full refund for the conference fee. In order to obtain a visa letter from the organizer, please contact the visitor service of the NürnbergMesse North America:
